History of Speedway

In 1984 a mobile emission van started as Carson Emissions.   Delivering convenient  mobile emission tests to its customers.  In 1986 the Utah State Highway Patrol combined Safety Inspections with licensing and Emission Tests.  No mobile Safety Inspections would be allowed.  Realizing that no one would call for a mobile emission test, then go to a shop for a Safety Inspection, a permanent site was needed.  Carson mobile emission testing became Carson Emission.   Located at Tuff Times tire in West Jordan.  When road construction began on Redwood Road, Tuff Times tire closed and Carson Emission was forced to move to 3900 S. 500 W.  After almost 2 years the new Speedway Emission building was complete.  We opened our doors on March 4, 1999.
